On this page you will have the prophetic opportunity to read about and join up with others who are called to The Crown of Rejoicing!

Have you heard the good news the Lord Jesus is returning and the Kingdom of Heaven will come forth onto Earth?

Now I saw a new heaven and a new earth, for the first heaven and the first earth had passed away. Also there was no more sea. Then I, John, saw the holy city, New Jerusalem, coming down out of heaven from God, prepared as a bride adorned for her husband. And I heard a loud voice from heaven saying, ‘Behold, the tabernacle of God is with men, and He will dwell with them, and they shall be His people. God Himself will be with them and be their God. (Revelation 21:1-3)

Together we are preparing for Jesus’ second coming, this time as King, what we’ve been waiting for, the real deal, the real promise, the true inheritance.

For what is our hope, or joy, or crown of rejoicing? Is it not even (rejoicing with) ye in the presence of our Lord Jesus Christ at his coming? (1 Thessalonians 2:19)

Oh what GLORY we WILL witness!

He who testifies to these things says, “Yes, I am coming soon.” Amen. Come, Lord Jesus. (Revelation 22:20)

He is coming! Come, Lord Jesus, come!

The Crown of Rejoicing Jesus is Lord

The Book of  Thessalonians in The Holy Scriptures reveals a mystery to the nature of the situation and atmosphere on the day of the second coming of Lord Jesus Christ.  I saw it in a vision one evening but did not know it was be real until I read it in the scriptures.

For what is our hope, our joy, or the crown in which we will glory in the presence of our Lord Jesus when he comes? Is it not you?  – ( 1 Thessalonians 2:19 )

…

on the day he comes to be glorified in his holy people and to be marveled at among all those who have believed. This includes you, because you believed our testimony to you.  – ( 2 Thessalonians 1:10 )

The entire body of Christ is preparing for the second coming of Lord Jesus Christ.  Lord Jesus instructed us to be ready and watchful, and that we may stand before Him on that day.

Be careful, or your hearts will be weighed down with carousing, drunkenness and the anxieties of life, and that day will close on you suddenly like a trap. For it will come on all those who live on the face of the whole earth. Be always on the watch, and pray that you may be able to escape all that is about to happen, and that you may be able to stand before the Son of Man.

It sounds scary and it is… but it’s for a good reason…  in a good way…

Because we want to stand before Him, we want to be in His presence in safety at the time of His return…

Even more so, rejoicing at the time of His return, like at a reception or welcoming as like a bride for a groom at a royal wedding.

So we are watchful, disciplined, girding our waist and shining our light so to speak, preparing to be ready.

Let your waist be girded and your lamps burning. – ( Luke 12:35 )

Yet, we can be of good cheer, because Lord Jesus said to be of good cheer because He has overcome the world.

These things I have spoken unto you, that in me ye might have peace. In the world ye shall have tribulation: but be of good cheer; I have overcome the world. – ( John 16:33)

We do not know when Lord Jesus will return, but we do know a bit more about how He will return.

And then shall they see the Son of man coming in the clouds with great power and glory. – ( Mark 13:26 )

This same Jesus, which is taken up from you into heaven, shall so come in like manner as ye have seen him go into heaven.” – ( Acts 1:11 )

When he went up the first time he was surrounded by his disciples on earth and angels in Heaven.  It would follow from this verse and all the other supporting verses that he will be surrounded by both His angels and His saints, disciples, us believer’s who genuinely fear The Lord and worship in spirit and truth.

Therefore be ye also ready… –  (Mat.24:44 )

Rejoice always! – (1 Th 5:16)

The Apostle Paul spoke at great length and in great passion about the Jesus’ 2nd coming.

This time Jesus was coming not to take the burden of sin but for vengeance on God’s enemies…

AND would bring REWARD for the good believers of faith.

Jesus himself said “Let your waist be girded and your lamps burning; and you yourselves be like ones who wait for their master”.

Did He not just tell us to let our waist be girded and our lamps burning???

Is he talking about spiritually or physically ready?  Or both?

Clearly it’s both.

So we are disciplined in preparing for His coming and cheering Him on by rejoicing in His victory!

Inspired by:

I was inspired by the vision that I received …

…verified with above all The Holy Spirit, Father God, Lord Jesus Christ, and Word of God,

… the Holy Scriptures says … let the Spirit and the bride say come! (Rev 22:17) and let Israel (the children of God) rejoice in their Maker; Let the children of Zion be joyful in their King! (Ps 149:2)

For the mysteries are revealed to us believers… Jesus said unto His disciples, To you it has been granted to know the mysteries of the kingdom of heaven, but to them it has not been granted. – ( Matthew 13:11 )

From the very beginning:

Genesis 3:15
And I (God) will put enmity between you (the serpent) and the woman, and between your seed and her seed. He will crush your head, and you will strike his heel.”

Joel 2:1
Blow the trumpet in Zion; sound the alarm on my holy hill. Let all who live in the land tremble, for the day of the LORD is coming. It is close at hand.

In the PSALMS:

Psalm 2:6

“I have installed my king on Zion, my holy mountain.”

Psalm 7:17

I will praise the Lord according to His righteousness,
And will sing praise to the name of the Lord Most High.

Psalm 9:13-14

13 Have mercy on me, O Lord!
Consider my trouble from those who hate me,
You who lift me up from the gates of death,
14 That I may declare of all Your praise
In the gates of the daughter of Zion.
I will rejoice in Your salvation.

Psalm 22:3

But You are holy, Enthroned in the praises of Israel.

Psalm 26:5-8

5 I have hated the assembly of evildoers, and will not sit with the wicked.

6 I will wash my hands in innocence;
So I will go about Your altar, O Lord,
7 That I may proclaim with the voice of thanksgiving,
And tell of all Your wondrous works.
8 Lord, I have loved the habitation of Your house,
And the place where Your glory dwells.

Psalm 29:2 – HOLY ARRAY
NKJV: Give unto the LORD the glory due to His name; Worship the LORD in the beauty of holiness.
NASB: Ascribe to the LORD the glory due His name; Worship the LORD in holy attire. NASB 1995: Ascribe to the LORD the glory due to His name; Worship the LORD in holy array.

Psalm 96:11-13 – LET EVERYTHING REJOICE BEFORE THE LORD FOR HE COMES!

Let the heavens be glad, and let the earth rejoicelet the sea roar, and all that fills it; let the field exult, and everything in it!

Then shall all the trees of the forest sing for joy before the LORD, for he comesfor he comes to judge the earth.

He will judge the world in righteousnessand the peoples in his faithfulness.

(I kept finding clues. This one in my devotional. [Psalm 96 Clue to Crown of Rejoicing])

Psalm 132: The Eternal Dwelling of God in Zion

1 Lord, remember David and all his afflictions;
2 How he swore to the Lord, and vowed to the Mighty One of Jacob:
3 “Surely I will not go into the chamber of my house, or go up to the comfort of my bed;
4 I will not give sleep to my eyes or slumber to my eyelids,
5 Until I find a place for the Lord, a dwelling place for the Mighty One of Jacob.

6 Behold, we heard of it in Ephrathah; we found it in the fields of the woods.
7 Let us go into His tabernacle; Let us worship at His footstool.
8 Arise, O Lord, to Your resting place, You and the ark of Your strength.
9 Let Your priests be clothed with righteousness,
And let Your saints shout for joy.

10 For Your servant David’s sake, do not turn away the face of Your Anointed.

11 The Lord has sworn in truth to David; He will not turn from it:
“I will set upon your throne the fruit of your body.
12 If your sons will keep My covenant
And My testimony which I shall teach them,
Their sons also shall sit upon your throne forevermore.”

13 For the Lord has chosen Zion;
He has desired it for His dwelling place:
14 “This is My resting place forever;
Here I will dwell, for I have desired it.
15 I will abundantly bless her provision;
I will satisfy her poor with bread.
16 I will also clothe her priests with salvation,
And her saints shall shout aloud for joy.
17 There I will make the horn of David grow;
I will prepare a lamp for My Anointed.
18 His enemies I will clothe with shame,
But upon Himself His crown shall flourish.”

Psalm 133:

1 Behold, how good and how pleasant it is
For brethren to dwell together in unity!

2 It is like the precious oil upon the head,
Running down on the beard, the beard of Aaron,
Running down on the edge of his garments.

3 It is like the dew of Hermon,
Descending upon the mountains of Zion;
For there the Lord commanded the blessing
Life forevermore.

Psalm 134:

1 Behold,

Zechariah 9

The Coming of Zion’s King

9 Rejoice greatly, Daughter Zion!
Shout, Daughter Jerusalem!
See, your king comes to you,
righteous and victorious,
lowly and riding on a donkey,
on a colt, the foal of a donkey.
10 I will take away the chariots from Ephraim
and the warhorses from Jerusalem,
and the battle bow will be broken.
He will proclaim peace to the nations.
His rule will extend from sea to sea
and from the River to the ends of the earth.
11 As for you, because of the blood of my covenant with you,
I will free your prisoners from the waterless pit.
12 Return to your fortress, you prisoners of hope;
even now I announce that I will restore twice as much to you.
13 I will bend Judah as I bend my bow
and fill it with Ephraim.
I will rouse your sons, Zion,
against your sons, Greece,
and make you like a warrior’s sword.

The Lord Will Appear

14 Then the Lord will appear over them;
his arrow will flash like lightning.
The Sovereign Lord will sound the trumpet;
he will march in the storms of the south,
15 and the Lord Almighty will shield them.
They will destroy
and overcome with slingstones.
They will drink and roar as with wine;
they will be full like a bowl
used for sprinkling the corners of the altar.
16 The Lord their God will save his people on that day
as a shepherd saves his flock.
They will sparkle in his land
like jewels in a crown.
17 How attractive and beautiful they will be!
Grain will make the young men thrive,
and new wine the young women.

Isaiah 1:16-19

Wash and make yourselves clean. Take your evil deeds out of my sight; stop doing wrong.

Learn to do right; seek justice. Defend the oppressed. Take up the cause of the fatherless; plead the case of the widow.

“Come now, let us settle the matter,” says the Lord.

Though your sins are like scarlet, they shall be as white as snow; though they are red as crimson, they shall be like wool.

If you are willing and obedient, you will eat the good things of the land; but if you resist and rebel, you will be devoured by the sword.”

Isaiah 11:

The Branch From Jesse

1 A shoot will come up from the stump of Jesse; from his roots a Branch will bear fruit.

The Spirit of the Lord will rest on him— the Spirit of wisdom and of understanding, the Spirit of counsel and of might, the Spirit of the knowledge and fear of the Lord—and he will delight in the fear of the Lord. He will not judge by what he sees with his eyes, or decide by what he hears with his ears;

but with righteousness he will judge the needy, with justice he will give decisions for the poor of the earth. He will strike the earth with the rod of his mouth; with the breath of his lips he will slay the wicked.

5 Righteousness will be his belt and faithfulness the sash around his waist.

6 The wolf will live with the lamb, the leopard will lie down with the goat, the calf and the lion and the yearling a together; and a little child will lead them.

7 The cow will feed with the bear, their young will lie down together, and the lion will eat straw like the ox.

8 The infant will play near the cobra’s den, and the young child will put its hand into the viper’s nest.

9 They will neither harm nor destroy on all my holy mountain, for the earth will be filled with the knowledge of the Lord as the waters cover the sea.

10 In that day the Root of Jesse will stand as a banner for the peoples; the nations will rally to him, and his resting place will be glorious.

11 In that day the Lord will reach out his hand a second time to reclaim the surviving remnant of his people from Assyria, from Lower Egypt, from Upper Egypt, from Cush, from Elam, from Babylonia, from Hamath and from the islands of the Mediterranean.

Isaiah 62:1-3

Zion’s New Name

1 For Zion’s sake I will not keep silent, for Jerusalem’s sake I will not remain quiet, till her vindication shines out like the dawn, her salvation like a blazing torch.

2 The nations will see your vindication, and all kings your glory; you will be called by a new name that the mouth of the Lord will bestow.

3 You will be a crown of splendor in the Lord’s hand, a royal diadem in the hand of your God.

4 No longer will they call you Deserted, or name your land Desolate. But you will be called Hephzibah, (footnote: Hephzibah means “my delight is in her”) and your land Beulah (footnote: “Beulah means married”); for the Lord will take delight in you, and your land will be married.

5 As a young man marries a young woman, so will your Builder marry you; as a bridegroom rejoices over his bride, so will your God rejoice over you.

6 I have posted watchmen on your walls, Jerusalem; they will never be silent day or night. You who call on the Lord, give yourselves no rest,

7 and give Him no rest till he establishes Jerusalem and makes her the praise of the earth.

8 The Lord has sworn by his right hand and by his mighty arm: “Never again will I give your grain as food for your enemies, and never again will foreigners drink the new wine for which you have toiled;

9 but those who harvest it will eat it and praise the Lord, and those who gather the grapes will drink it in the courts of my sanctuary.”

10 Pass through, pass through the gates! Prepare the way for the people. Build up, build up the highway! Remove the stones. Raise a banner for the nations.

11 The Lord has made proclamation to the ends of the earth:

“Say to Daughter Zion,

‘See, your Savior comes!

See, His reward is with Him, and His recompense accompanies Him.’ ”

12 They will be called the Holy People, the Redeemed of the Lord; and you will be called Sought After, the City No Longer Deserted.

Isaiah 65:9-25

9 I will bring forth descendants from Jacob, and from Judah those who will possess my mountains; My chosen people will inherit them, and there will My servants live.

10 Sharon will become a pasture for flocks, and the Valley of Achor a resting place for herds, for My people who seek me.

11 “But as for you who forsake the Lord and forget my holy mountain, who spread a table for Fortune and fill bowls of mixed wine for Destiny,

12 I will destine you for the sword, and all of you will fall in the slaughter; for I called but you did not answer, I spoke but you did not listen. you did evil in My sight and chose what displeases me.”

13 Therefore this is what the Sovereign Lord says:

My servants will eat, but you will go hungry; My servants will drink, but you will go thirsty; My servants will rejoice, but you will be put to shame.

14 My servants will sing out of the joy of their hearts, but you will cry out from anguish of heart and wail in brokenness of spirit.

15 you will leave your name for my chosen ones to use in their curses; the Sovereign Lord will put you to death, but to His servants He will give another name.

16 Whoever invokes a blessing in the land will do so by the one true God; whoever takes an oath in the land will swear by the one true God.

For the past troubles will be forgotten and hidden from My eyes. New Heavens and a New Earth

17 “See, I will create new heavens and a new earth. The former things will not be remembered, nor will they come to mind.

18 But be glad and rejoice forever in what I will create, for I will create Jerusalem to be a delight and its people a joy.

19 I will rejoice over Jerusalem and take delight in my people; the sound of weeping and of crying will be heard in it no more.

20 “Never again will there be in it an infant who lives but a few days, or an old man who does not live out his years; the one who dies at a hundred will be thought a mere child; the one who fails to reach a a hundred will be considered accursed.

21 They will build houses and dwell in them; they will plant vineyards and eat their fruit.

22 No longer will they build houses and others live in them, or plant and others eat. For as the days of a tree, so will be the days of my people; my chosen ones will long enjoy the work of their hands.

23 They will not labor in vain, nor will they bear children doomed to misfortune; for they will be a people blessed by the Lord, they and their descendants with them.

24 Before they call I will answer; while they are still speaking I will hear.

25 The wolf and the lamb will feed together, and the lion will eat straw like the ox, and dust will be the serpent’s food. They will neither harm nor destroy on all My holy mountain,”

says the Lord.

Isaiah 66:

1 This is what the Lord says:

Heaven is my throne, and the earth is my footstool. Where is the house you will build for me? Where will My resting place be?

2 Has not My hand made all these things, and so they came into being?”

declares the Lord.

“These are the ones I look on with favor: those who are humble and contrite in spirit, and who tremble at my word.

3 But whoever sacrifices a bull is like one who kills a person, and whoever offers a lamb is like one who breaks a dog’s neck; whoever makes a grain offering is like one who presents pig’s blood, and whoever burns memorial incense is like one who worships an idol. They have chosen their own ways, and they delight in their abominations;

4 so I also will choose harsh treatment for them and will bring on them what they dread. For when I called, no one answered, when I spoke, no one listened. They did evil in My sight and chose what displeases me.”

5 Hear the word of the Lord, you who tremble at His word: “Your own people who hate you, and exclude you because of my name, have said, ‘Let the Lord be glorified, that we may see your joy!’ Yet they will be put to shame.

6 Hear that uproar from the city, hear that noise from the temple! It is the sound of the Lord repaying his enemies all they deserve.

7 “Before she goes into labor, she gives birth; before the pains come upon her, she delivers a son.

8 Who has ever heard of such things? Who has ever seen things like this? Can a country be born in a day or a nation be brought forth in a moment?

Yet no sooner is Zion in labor than she gives birth to her children.

9 Do I bring to the moment of birth and not give delivery?” says the Lord. “Do I close up the womb when I bring to delivery?” says your God.

10 “Rejoice with Jerusalem and be glad for her, all you who love her; rejoice greatly with her, all you who mourn over her.

11 For you will nurse and be satisfied at her comforting breasts; you will drink deeply and delight in her overflowing abundance.”

12 For this is what the Lord says: “I will extend peace to her like a river, and the wealth of nations like a flooding stream; you will nurse and be carried on her arm and dandled on her knees.

13 As a mother comforts her child, so will I comfort you; and you will be comforted over Jerusalem.”

14 When you see this, your heart will rejoice and you will flourish like grass; the hand of the Lord will be made known to his servants, but his fury will be shown to his foes.

15 See, the Lord is coming with fire, and his chariots are like a whirlwind; he will bring down his anger with fury, and his rebuke with flames of fire.

16 For with fire and with his sword the Lord will execute judgment on all people, and many will be those slain by the Lord.

17 “Those who consecrate and purify themselves to go into the gardens, following one who is among those who eat the flesh of pigs, rats and other unclean things—they will meet their end together with the one they follow,” declares the Lord.

18 “And I, because of what they have planned and done, am about to come and gather the people of all nations and languages, and they will come and see My glory.

19“I will set a sign among them, and I will send some of those who survive to the nations—to Tarshish, to the Libyans and Lydians (famous as archers), to Tubal and Greece, and to the distant islands that have not heard of My fame or seen My glory. They will proclaim My glory among the nations.

20 And they will bring all your people, from all the nations, to My holy mountain in Jerusalem as an offering to the Lord—on horses, in chariots and wagons, and on mules and camels,” says the Lord. “They will bring them, as the Israelites bring their grain offerings, to the temple of the Lord in ceremonially clean vessels. 21 And I will select some of them also to be priests and Levites,” says the Lord.

22 “As the new heavens and the new earth that I make will endure before me,” declares the Lord, “so will your name and descendants endure. 23 From one New Moon to another and from one Sabbath to another, all mankind will come and bow down before me,” says the Lord.

24 “And they will go out and look on the dead bodies of those who rebelled against me; the worms that eat them will not die, the fire that burns them will not be quenched, and they will be loathsome to all mankind.”

Malachi

Malachi 3:17-18

“On the day when I act,” says the Lord Almighty, “they will be my treasured possession. I will spare them, just as a father has compassion and spares his son who serves him. And you will again see the distinction between the righteous and the wicked, between those who serve God and those who do not.

Malachi 4:2

But for you who revere my name, the sun of righteousness will rise with healing in its rays. And you will go out and frolic like well-fed calves.

(So we who believe and fear The Lord, He, the sun of righteousness, will be there and heal us with healing in His rays, and “you will go out and frolic like well-fed calves”. Sounds like eating well and having fun, like a wedding reception party! )

1 Thessalonians 2:19
For what is our hope, our joy, or the crown in which we will glory in the presence of our Lord Jesus when he comes? Is it not you?

2 Thessalonians 1:10
on the day he comes to be glorified in his holy people and to be marveled at among all those who have believed. This includes you, because you believed our testimony to you.

John 16:33
These things I have spoken unto you, that in me ye might have peace. In the world ye shall have tribulation: but be of good cheer; I have overcome the world.

2 Corinthians 2:14
But thanks be to God, who always leads us as captives in Christ’s triumphal procession and uses us to spread the aroma of the knowledge of him everywhere.

Mark 13:26
And then shall they see the Son of man coming in the clouds with great power and glory.

Acts 1:11
This same Jesus, which is taken up from you into heaven, shall so come in like manner as ye have seen him go into heaven.”

(If he was surrounded by his disciples when he went up, will he be surrounded by his disciples on earth when he comes again in the same manner?  Will the saints be with him in the air and the remanent on the ground ready, waiting, and rejoicing in His coming?)

1 Th 5:16:

Rejoice always!

Rev 14:1-3

Then I looked, and there before me was the Lamb, standing on Mount Zion, and with him 144,000 who had his name and his Father’s name written on their foreheads. And I heard a sound from heaven like the roar of rushing waters and like a loud peal of thunder. The sound I heard was like that of harpists playing their harps. And they sang a new song before the throne and before the four living creatures and the elders. No one could learn the song except the 144,000 who had been redeemed from the earth.

Rev 19:4-9

The twenty-four elders and the four living creatures fell down and worshiped God, who was seated on the throne. And they cried:

Amen, Hallelujah!

Then a voice came from the throne, saying:

Praise our God, all you his servants, you who fear him, both great and small!

Then I heard what sounded like a great multitude, like the roar of rushing waters and like loud peals of thunder, shouting:

Hallelujah!

For our Lord God Almighty reigns.

Let us rejoice and be glad and give him glory!

For the wedding of the Lamb has come, and his bride has made herself ready.

Fine linen, bright and clean, was given her to wear.

(Fine linen stands for the righteous acts of God’s holy people.)

Then the angel said to me, “Write this: Blessed are those who are invited to the wedding supper of the Lamb!” And he added, “These are the true words of God.”

(Then the Thousand Years, Judgement of satan, and Judgement of the dead… Rev 20)

Rev 21:1-8

A New Heaven and a New Earth

Then I saw “a new heaven and a new earth,” a for the first heaven and the first earth had passed away, and there was no longer any sea. I saw the Holy City, the new Jerusalem, coming down out of heaven from God, prepared as a bride beautifully dressed for her husband. And I heard a loud voice from the throne saying, “Look! God’s dwelling place is now among the people, and he will dwell with them. They will be his people, and God himself will be with them and be their God. ‘He will wipe every tear from their eyes. There will be no more death’  or mourning or crying or pain, for the old order of things has passed away.”

He who was seated on the throne said, “I am making everything new!” Then he said, “Write this down, for these words are trustworthy and true.

He said to me: “It is done. I am the Alpha and the Omega, the Beginning and the End. To the thirsty I will give water without cost from the spring of the water of life. Those who are victorious will inherit all this, and I will be their God and they will be my children. But the cowardly, the unbelieving, the vile, the murderers, the sexually immoral, those who practice magic arts, the idolaters and all liars—they will be consigned to the fiery lake of burning sulfur. This is the second death.

The New Jerusalem, the Bride of the Lamb

One of the seven angels who had the seven bowls full of the seven last plagues came and said to me, “Come, I will show you the bride, the wife of the Lamb.” And he carried me away in the Spirit to a mountain great and high, and showed me the Holy City, Jerusalem, coming down out of heaven from God. It shone with the glory of God, and its brilliance was like that of a very precious jewel, like a jasper, clear as crystal. It had a great, high wall with twelve gates, and with twelve angels at the gates. On the gates were written the names of the twelve tribes of Israel. There were three gates on the east, three on the north, three on the south and three on the west. The wall of the city had twelve foundations, and on them were the names of the twelve apostles of the Lamb.

The angel who talked with me had a measuring rod of gold to measure the city, its gates and its walls. The city was laid out like a square, as long as it was wide. He measured the city with the rod and found it to be 12,000 stadia c in length, and as wide and high as it is long. The angel measured the wall using human measurement, and it was 144 cubits thick. The wall was made of jasper, and the city of pure gold, as pure as glass. The foundations of the city walls were decorated with every kind of precious stone. The first foundation was jasper, the second sapphire, the third agate, the fourth emerald, the fifth onyx, the sixth ruby, the seventh chrysolite, the eighth beryl, the ninth topaz, the tenth turquoise, the eleventh jacinth, and the twelfth amethyst. The twelve gates were twelve pearls, each gate made of a single pearl. The great street of the city was of gold, as pure as transparent glass.

I did not see a temple in the city, because the Lord God Almighty and the Lamb are its temple. The city does not need the sun or the moon to shine on it, for the glory of God gives it light, and the Lamb is its lamp. The nations will walk by its light, and the kings of the earth will bring their splendor into it. On no day will its gates ever be shut, for there will be no night there. The glory and honor of the nations will be brought into it. Nothing impure will ever enter it, nor will anyone who does what is shameful or deceitful, but only those whose names are written in the Lamb’s book of life.

Rev 22:

Eden Restored

Then the angel showed me the river of the water of life, as clear as crystal, flowing from the throne of God and of the Lamb down the middle of the great street of the city. On each side of the river stood the tree of life, bearing twelve crops of fruit, yielding its fruit every month. And the leaves of the tree are for the healing of the nations. No longer will there be any curse. The throne of God and of the Lamb will be in the city, and his servants will serve him. They will see his face, and his name will be on their foreheads. There will be no more night. They will not need the light of a lamp or the light of the sun, for the Lord God will give them light. And they will reign for ever and ever.

John and the Angel

The angel said to me, “These words are trustworthy and true. The Lord, the God who inspires the prophets, sent his angel to show his servants the things that must soon take place.

Look, I am coming soon! Blessed is the one who keeps the words of the prophecy written in this scroll.

I, John, am the one who heard and saw these things. And when I had heard and seen them, I fell down to worship at the feet of the angel who had been showing them to me. But he said to me, “Don’t do that! I am a fellow servant with you and with your fellow prophets and with all who keep the words of this scroll. Worship God!”

Then he told me, “Do not seal up the words of the prophecy of this scroll, because the time is near. Let the one who does wrong continue to do wrong; let the vile person continue to be vile; let the one who does right continue to do right; and let the holy person continue to be holy.”

Epilogue: Invitation and Warning

Look, I am coming soon! My reward is with me, and I will give to each person according to what they have done. I am the Alpha and the Omega, the First and the Last, the Beginning and the End.

Blessed are those who wash their robes, that they may have the right to the tree of life and may go through the gates into the city. Outside are the dogs, those who practice magic arts, the sexually immoral, the murderers, the idolaters and everyone who loves and practices falsehood.

I, Jesus, have sent my angel to give you a this testimony for the churches. I am the Root and the Offspring of David, and the bright Morning Star.

The Spirit and the bride say, “Come!” And let the one who hears say, “Come!” Let the one who is thirsty come; and let the one who wishes take the free gift of the water of life.

I warn everyone who hears the words of the prophecy of this scroll: If anyone adds anything to them, God will add to that person the plagues described in this scroll. And if anyone takes words away from this scroll of prophecy, God will take away from that person any share in the tree of life and in the Holy City, which are described in this scroll.

He who testifies to these things says, “Yes, I am coming soon.

Amen. Come, Lord Jesus.

The grace of the Lord Jesus be with God’s people. Amen.

Listen to this sermon to get a feel for the physical transformation at Lord Jesus’ return.

The first time Jesus came, the exact time was prophesied to Daniel.  God delivered on His promise according to the EXACT day as promised.

Daniel was faithful in captivity in Babylon and prayed towards Jerusalem as Solomon said to do.  Solomon prayed that when God’s people turned away from God, that if they turned back to God, praised His name, praying and making supplication to God in the temple in Jerusalem, to hear, forgive and restore their land.

King Solomon prayed to the Lord God of Israel in 1 Kings 8:33: “When your people Israel have been defeated by an enemy because they have sinned against you, and when they turn back to you and give praise to your name, praying and making supplication to you in this temple, 34then hear from heaven and forgive the sin of your people Israel and bring them back to the land you gave to their ancestors.

Daniel turned to the Lord God and pleaded with him in prayer and petition, in fasting, and in sackcloth and ashes. Daniel prayed a very humble heartfelt genuine prayer to God on behalf of God’s people.

While Daniel was speaking and praying, confessing his sin and the sin of his people Israel and making his request to the Lord his God for God’s holy hill, Gabriel came to him.

Gabriel instructed Daniel, giving him insight and understanding regarding the restoration of Israel and the times ahead to answer his prayer.

Gabriel said that “Seventy ‘sevens’  are decreed for your people and your holy city to finish transgression, to put an end to sin, to atone for wickedness, to bring in everlasting righteousness, to seal up vision and prophecy and to anoint the Most Holy Place.”

and continued… “Know and understand this: From the time the word goes out to restore and rebuild Jerusalem until the Anointed One, the ruler, comes, there will be seven ‘sevens,’ and sixty-two ‘sevens.’ It will be rebuilt with streets and a trench, but in times of trouble. After the sixty-two ‘sevens,’ the Anointed One will be put to death and will have nothing. The people of the ruler who will come will destroy the city and the sanctuary. The end will come like a flood: War will continue until the end, and desolations have been decreed.

All of this prophesy was fulfilled.  While the exact dates were not recorded in history, it timeline of the years was right on target.  Jerusalem was rebuilt as prophesied on schedule.  Lord Jesus the Messiah showed up on schedule entering Jerusalem on a donkey as promised (Zech 9:9), and was put to death as the Messiah as prophesied, and the temple was destroyed after that as prophesied.   If we knew the exact dates, surely it would have been exact to the very day as promised.

Yet, when Lord Jesus entered Jerusalem as the Messiah, their King and Savior, the people did not know the time of His coming.

Luke 19:41-44: And when he drew near and saw the city, he wept over it,  saying, “Would that you, even you, had known on this day the things that make for peace! But now they are hidden from your eyes. For the days will come upon you, when your enemies will set up a barricade around you and surround you and hem you in on every side and tear you down to the ground, you and your children within you. And they will not leave one stone upon another in you, because you did not know the time of your visitation.”

Lord Jesus wept for Jerusalem because it would be destroyed because they did not know the time of His coming, they did not seem to care or recognize their King and Savior that had been prophesied to them through Daniel.

Yet, for his second coming we do not know the time.  Is that because people didn’t care the first time?  There wasn’t enough faith?

Mark 13:32: No one knows about that day or hour, not even the angels in heaven, nor the Son, but only the Father. Be on your guard and stay alert! For you do not know when the appointed time will come.…

But will we care enough this second time to be ready?  Will Lord Jesus find faith when He returns?

Luke 18:6-8: Will not God bring about justice for his chosen ones, who cry out to him day and night?  Will he keep putting them off?  I tell you, he will see that they get justice, and quickly. However, when the Son of Man comes, will he find faith on the earth?” –

Luke 18:14: “I tell you that this man (humbled tax collector), rather than the other (self-exalting Pharisee), went home justified before God. For all those who exalt themselves will be humbled, and those who humble themselves will be exalted.”

Luke 18:16-17: But Jesus called the children to him and said, “Let the little children come to me, and do not hinder them, for the kingdom of God belongs to such as these. Truly I tell you, anyone who will not receive the kingdom of God like a little child will never enter it.”

Lord Jesus shared with us so much and proved His word so faithfully for us that we can trust He will coming soon as promised.  But will He find faith when He returns?

What Did JESUS say to His Disciples?

A word from Jesus’ directly, about His second return in Glory and Majesty…

“Let your waist be girded and your lamps burning; and you yourselves be like ones who wait for their master, when he will return from the wedding, that when he comes and knocks they may open to him immediately.

Blessed are those servants whom the master, when he comes, will find watching. Assuredly, I say to you that he will gird himself and have them sit down to eat, and will come and serve them..”

Luke 12 : 35-37

… will not God bring about justice for his chosen ones, who cry out to him day and night? Will he keep putting them off? I tell you, he will see that they get justice, and quickly. However, when the Son of Man comes, will he find faith on the earth?”

Luke 18 : 6-8
